Spiritual advice has an eternal impact. Be humble enough to ask for help.Ask what you need to change.
Areas we need to seek advice on: Practical everyday matters OR spiritual (in your relationship with God; Personality; How you affect others; Reaching out to people; Relationships; How to resolve conflict; Serving; Finding and using your skillset; Godly priorities; Seeking first the kingdom; Finances; Career; Dating and marriage; Parenting.
Who to seek advice from? Proverbs 27:9 Prov 10:31–32 13:20; Romans 15:14
From people with integrity and righteousness, who use the Word of God, and considers the consequences.
Who are your advisors? Starts in your discipling relationships. Greek word for disciple=learner. It's lifelong. Make the effort not to lean on yr own understanding when challenges.

Being with him (Jesus), being like him, and live for him. Your relationship with Jesus determines how your life pans out.
The faith journey was not meant to be walked alone. We can learn from those who've gone before.
A mentor=a friend/who shares their life and experiece/ wisdom with you because they've used the word
Mark 3:13–14 Doing life together.
2 Timothy 3:10; 14–15 being vulnerable and open with each other. Not trying to impress one another. Follow what is Christ-like and use the word. Not controlling/selfish
Parenting–not exasperating
Battle against sin.
Don't under-estimate the power of a mentor in your life.
