Part 3: Whose Money is it Anyway?—by Nda Ncube and Solete Wilke

April 30, 2023

Sermon summary:

Saving—is God your barn? Are you storing up things for yourself but you are not rich towards God?

Matthew 25: 14-28 Are you growing? God expects us to grow better at what we do, and to grow what he has given us. He is faithful and comes through when we are in need.

Honour God with your wealth. Develop a deep trust in God, and that he will take care of you. The money you have is not yours. Honour God with the firstfruit of your weath.

Tithing is a sign of obedience.

Proverbs 20:7 The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them.

Psalm 23 paints God as our shepherd—guiding, providing, and protecting. In Jesus, the Good Shepherd, we find the same care. Choose godly community over isolation, grow through mentorship, and live to reflect his love in a world that needs it daily, faithfully.

Jesus, the Bread of Life, meets our deepest needs. We chase power, comfort, and distractions, yet still feel empty. True satisfaction is found in him alone. Feed your soul daily with God’s Word before anything else, and let him be your centre.
