Experiencing God - by Ivor Botha

Sermon recap:

Experiencing God in orange letters.

God is always at work—inviting us into a real, personal relationship with Him. He still speaks today, often in quiet moments rather than loud events. Like Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3:1–4), we must slow down, be still (Psalm 46:10), and be ready to notice when He’s calling. Experiencing God isn’t about knowing about Him—it’s about truly knowing Him (John 17:3; Job 42:1–6; Galatians 4:8–9).
Taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). Be on the lookout for your “burning bush” moments—He’s waiting for you.

Psalm 23 paints God as our shepherd—guiding, providing, and protecting. In Jesus, the Good Shepherd, we find the same care. Choose godly community over isolation, grow through mentorship, and live to reflect his love in a world that needs it daily, faithfully.

Jesus, the Bread of Life, meets our deepest needs. We chase power, comfort, and distractions, yet still feel empty. True satisfaction is found in him alone. Feed your soul daily with God’s Word before anything else, and let him be your centre.

Living like Jesus means denying self, sharing the gospel in every season, trusting God in hardship, and reaching the lost with grace, courage, and faith.
