Jesus & Justice - by Mpho Khalo and Dr Xola Qhogwana
Sermon summary:

The sermon God's Covering explores God’s covering as an expression of grace, love, restoration, and justice. Genesis 2:25 portrays vulnerability without shame, while Genesis 3 reveals how sin leads us to hide and manage our exposure.
Yet God, in his mercy, provides a covering for Adam and Eve, demonstrating that restoration comes at a cost. Through Jesus, the ultimate covering, we are clothed in righteousness (Isaiah 61:10). Scripture reminds us that love covers a multitude of sins, not to conceal wrongdoing, but to restore relationships and extend grace. The story of the prodigal son illustrates the Father’s eagerness to cover shame with compassion and acceptance.
The sermon also calls believers to embody biblical justice by meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable. As Matthew 25 teaches, serving the least among us is serving Jesus. We are therefore called to become agents of God’s covering through mercy, love, and practical care.
